The MIT Sloan case competition team won the 2007 Reaching Out case competition in San Francisco, October 11-14th. Competition was fierce among the six competiting schools, but ultimately Sloan's combination of teamwork and unique conceptualizations sealed the victory. The team hopes that this victory will help spread the renown and awareness of MIT Sloan as a supportive and successful place for LGBT MBAs.

MIT Sloan has been in the news for an LGBT-related incident in the Spring semester, 2008. We encourage those interested to read the original MIT Tech article which details the incident and the response by the community. Since that article a letter to the sloan community was put forward by a group of students.
Interested in attending MIT Sloan? We encourage you to contact the admissions office, to learn more about what Sloan has to offer. However, we understand that being LGBT introduces questions that the admissions staff may not be able to answer, since we have experienced this situation ourselves. The SloanLGBT officers urge you to email us so that we can provide you with helpful advice in applying to business schools including MIT Sloan. We like to meet LGBT applicants if you come visit our campus. Your interaction with MIT SloanLGBT places no bearing on the admissions decision, but will help you understand how you can potentially contribute to the school's community by talking with others with a similar background that have already made the decision to attend MIT Sloan. We look forward to hearing from you and meeting you! Email us at lgbtofficers@sloan.mit.edu.
We will be having an event on Friday, May 2nd, 2008 at 7:30pm -- please email us if you plan on attending!
SloanLGBT has a series of events during the fall semester with companies reaching out to LGBT students in their recruiting efforts. If you are affiliated with a company interested in setting up a recruiting event with us, please email us at lgbtofficers@sloan.mit.edu
